We had an OWL party for a little girl who LOVED owls! We made owls for each party guest. They were a simple design. They were hot glued together. . NO SEWING AT ALL. Easy!
We wrapped the owls up in a package and then wrapped the package 10 times. Wrap 1 layer for each party guest. So then you take turns unwrapping the present till you get to the box. We timed it to where the birthday girl got the last layer and got to open the box. The kids were so excited to see cute little owls, that thy could keep!
Then we played "toss the owl in the tree". It was a plush tree. You could also paint a tree on a box.
Then the birthday girl read a story to the guests, that she had made herself. It was about an owl.
So sweet!
We played an owl "memory" game. We took a variety of owl clip art we found and made a memory game on construction paper. Easy! The kids were at an age wher they really enjoyed it!
My sis in law made the cake for the party! She did such a good job! The guests absolutely LOVED the cake! It was delicious too! She made just what the birthday girl asked for!
We ended the party with an OWL pinata. It was soooo easy to make! The shape was a simple paper mache on a balloon. Then we took scrapbooking paper, 12 x12, and cut it into strips. We made cuts in the paper so it would bend around the balloon shape easily. The eyes are simple circles glued on. It turned out cute.
