So, for breakfast in bed, we did a pancake covered in whip cream. 1/2 pink whipped cream (just a drop of food colouring) and white whipped cream. A drizzle of chocolate syrup in the middle. It looked like a poke ball! My son loved it!
Then, on the lighter side, we made a poke ball out of impossible pie, and covered it with strawberries on half and whipped cream on half. It's lighter than cake. I would use milk chocolate chips for the boarder. We used dark and they were TOO dark. The flavours didn't blend well.
Then there's the dessert in the back of this photo. It's 1/2 sugar free red jello, and 1/2 sugar free vanilla pudding. (another lighter dessert). Then there's the traditional Poke ball cake. It was supposed to be a ball, but we ran out of time, so it's only a half a ball on a sheet cake. Also the green was supposed to be bright blue, but we ran out of blue food colouring.
*Note: One of the best poke mon food I've seen are rice balls coloured to look like pokeballs, and separately a pizza where 1/2 the pizza is covered in pepperoni, and 1/2 in mozzarella, with olives making the stripe in the middle. CUTE!
